The voluntary and non-profit sectors in Canada comprise 161,000 organizations with some $112 billion in revenues annually, representing approximately 10% of Canada’s gross domestic product. While organizations in the not- for-profit sector may differ widely in size, mission and the ways in which they serve the community, they share common issues and challenges. These include:
