Sylvia is a senior consultant at PSTG Consulting. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), with a focus on implementing organizational wide business and technology changes. 

Throughout her career Sylvia has worked with Government bodies at provincial, national and international levels. Her extensive understanding of the workings of government has led her to manage numerous interesting and challenging change management projects. As an example, at an international level Sylvia led the development of the current state assessment aimed at identifying services which are most suitable for electronic deliverable.  Through this process Sylvia consulted with all 27 Deputy Permanent Secretaries and all Service Delivery Directors across the government of Botswana. She also engaged with the Local Authorities across the country to assess regional service delivery characteristics and challenges.  The current state assessment report was the foundation to the development of the e-Government strategy for the country. At a local level Sylvia has completed various projects with provincial governments and their Agencies. Most recently Sylvia project managed the transition of key functions from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to the Public Health Ontario Agency. The transition presented demanding change management challenges such as continuing to deliver high quality services while realigning the relationship of the two government bodies and their staff. Sylvia used her proven negotiation techniques to ensure timely decision-making and implementation within the project timelines. Sylvia’s ability to understand government along with her strong project management skills has ensured her success across multiple levels of government.  Sylvia completed her B.Sc. at the University of Waterloo and her PMP certification at the University of Toronto.

Sylvia has travelled extensively and enjoys learning from different cultures she encounters. She has challenged herself by climbing some of the highest peaks in the countries she has visited. Sylvia is also an avid runner and has completed several marathons in the last years.
