Sylvia is a consultant at PSTG Consulting. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), with a focus on implementing organizational wide technology changes. Sylvia completed her B.Sc. at the University of Waterloo with a specialization in Ecology and a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. Her education is echoed throughout her work experience over the last eight years.
Sylvia has applied this knowledge in multiple healthcare and environmental settings. She project managed the implementation of a collaboration tool across an organization of over 700 users. This included the modification of all organization processes as well as change management for all staff members. Working closely with the executive team, Sylvia led the development of Smart System for Health's corporate knowledge management strategy which encompassed collaboration, records management, and learning. She then led a cross functional working group to develop the implementation roadmap of the strategy. Sylvia has led the consultation in the development of a provincial wide - Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste program plan. The consultation process engaged multiple stakeholders from government, associations and industry. She used her strong negotiation techniques to ensure decisions were made within the project timelines. Sylvia’s ability to understand emerging sector challenges and strong project management skills has ensured her success across multiple sectors. She continues to push the envelope as she leverages her knowledge and skills in other sectors, most recently the settlement sector.
Sylvia has travelled extensively learning from different cultures and has challenged herself by climbing some of the highest peaks in those countries. She has also completed seven marathons in the last four years.
