Makesi Augustus is a Senior Consultant with PSTG Consulting’s Caribbean arm, PSTG Caribbean Limited.  He comes to PSTG with a wealth of experience in the fields of human resource management, operations and project management, marketing, administration, general management, company start-ups, and has business transformation and change management experience in both the private sector and government.

In Trinidad and Tobago, Makesi has worked with the ICT Division of the Ministry of Public Administration on its organisational redesign and performance management efforts, which formed the foundation to enable them to be transformed into the National Information and Communication Technology Centre (now iGovTT).  Tasked mainly with the responsibility of business process mapping, analysis and re-engineering, he also supported the Ministry of Education in its decentralisation efforts.  Makesi has also assisted the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago with its own process mapping and analysis initiative. Additionally, he has worked with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as an integral part of the team responsible for gathering and maintaining all relevant, high-demand government information on line via the national e-government portal, ttconnect, which may be viewed at http://www.ttconnect.gov.tt.  Despite being the largest project ever undertaken by government, thus far, all phases of this project have been delivered on time and within budget.  In addition to these, Makesi was also instrumental on a number of projects external to his home market of Trinidad and Tobago.  He continues to play a key role on the PSTG team tasked with the delivering on The Bahamas’ e-government portal and website project, and on the OECS’ Organisational Transformation project.  Also noteworthy is that Makesi was a main resource on Botswana’s National e-Government Programme and on the CARICOM Single Market and Economy Unit’s Government User Needs Survey.

Prior to joining PSTG Caribbean, Makesi spent his entire working life working in the Caribbean region’s private sector in the employ of the Total Convenience Management Group of Companies, a client and service-oriented group involved in Training, Automotive Lease and Rentals, Executive Transport, and Fleet Management, to name a few of its activities.  Some of the group’s major clients who fell under his purview include bpTT, GlaxoSmithKline, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, BHP Billiton, Prestige Holdings, First Citizens, and Automotive Art (Barbados).  With these clients, as with others not mentioned, he has a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding expectations.

Makesi has considerable team-based experience in various roles and is a real utilitarian operative.  Some of his more valuable assets include his meticulous and analytical, but humble nature, and his communication and organisation skills.  He holds a Masters degree in International Management from the University of the West Indies (2006) as well as a Bachelors degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of London (Hons) (2003), and is competent in Spanish and French, in addition to his native English.
